OUR APPROACH
Whether you are thinking about home addition, remodeling your home, adding an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU), we help you plan and develop a custom design that is tailored to your specific needs. We offer residential design throughout SF South Bay area. This includes working with your local jurisdiction to secure entitlements and building permits.
PHASE ZERO:
CONSULTATION
We begin with an on-site interview to understand your ideas and needs, explore opportunities to optimize your space, and ensure we’re the right fit. Afterward, you’ll receive a Design Fee Proposal to secure your spot in the design calendar.
PHASE ONE: DISCOVERY
We start with a client interview, site measurements, and code and research. From there, we create conceptual layouts, focusing in space planning we develop a floor layout. We refine design options through reviews, and define a clear scope of work aligned with your vision.
PHASE TWO:
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
One design is chosen to be developed. We refine the floor plan, explore inspirational images, and create elevations, sections, and 3D visuals to shape a tailored concept. Once approved, we coordinate
with consultants and move forward with technical drawings for the building permit.
PHASE THREE: DETAILED DESIGN & PERMITTING
We prepare the full permit set. Our team will complete the full permit set, including Title 24 energy compliance reports and CALGreen documentation, structural plans and calculations if needed and submit to the city. We provide support throughout the permitting process until official approval is obtained. Revisions to the drawings requested by the local municipality are included.
